About Me:

I am currently a third-year dental student at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Upon graduation from dental school, I plan on pursuing a residency or working in private practice.

My experiences at Georgia Tech have helped me tremendously in my studies throughout dental school, where during the first two years we took classes like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, etc. The academic rigor of Georgia Tech and quality instruction within the School of Biological Sciences provided me a solid foundation of knowledge onto which I have been able to rely on and build on over the course of dental school. At Tech, I had the opportunity to take a wide variety of biology and non-biology electives which broadened my perspective and highlighted the importance of an interdisciplinary approach. I also had the opportunities to work in a research lab, help lead the GT Pre-Dental Society and GT Tri-Beta, and serve on the Biology Student Advisory Committee during my time at Tech. Now, as a dental student tasked with combining the science, art, engineering, and patient care that define dentistry, I am grateful for the interdisciplinary, evidence-based learning I received at Georgia Tech.

My Advice:

My advice for GT Biology students would be to explore everything the School of Biological Sciences, Georgia Tech, and Atlanta have to offer. Take advantage of the freedom and opportunities provided by Tech to explore your academic passions, your personal interests, the research being conducted here, and the culture of Atlanta. Seek support and knowledge from the great communities and opportunities that surround you while you’re here, and know the degree you’re getting from Georgia Tech will help prepare you for whatever career you desire.
