GT Biology 2012 PhD graduate Douglas Rasher won the George Mercer Award from the Ecological Society of America this year.
Dr. Brian Hammer (Assistant Professor, School of Biology), was recently honored with an award from the Faculty Career Development (CAREER) Program at the National Science Foundation.
They are among eight selected by the American Society for Microbiology in 2018.
The scientist aims to represent Smyrna Ward 7 with the same innovative approach to research.
