About Me:

I am in my last year of pharmacy school at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy currently on clinical rotations in Atlanta. I work as a part-time pharmacy intern at Athens Regional Medical Center. I plan to pursue post-graduate residency training and become a clinical pharmacist. I also am interested in non-traditional pharmacy roles such as consulting, industry, CDC and FDA.

Tech has prepared me for my career by providing me with an incredible research background. Many professional and residency programs look for “well-rounded” candidates and having research experience is definitely a plus. I was fortunate to be involved in research early in my undergraduate education and stayed there until I graduated. I learned so much through that experience. I was able to present numerous research poster presentations and was published in a scientific journal.

My Advice:

Tech is a challenging place for any student but it provides many opportunities as well. Seize every opportunity! And never underestimate the power of a Georgia Tech degree. Having it can open the doors to many school/job opportunities you never could dream possible. Don’t sell yourself short!
