About Me:

I graduated from Georgia Tech with my Bachelor’s in December of 2014 and starting working at Emory University/Children’s healthcare of Atlanta conducting research in pediatric pathology cases. I helped write different case reports which led to publications, and I even became a first author on one. Currently, I am back at Georgia Tech pursuing my Master’s degree in Biology, planning on graduating in December 2017. I am also working at the CDC in the clinical chemistry branch working on lipid standardization. After my master’s degree, I plan on either applying for medical school or continuing research and earning a PhD.

Georgia Tech has played a huge role in my career. The connections I made at Tech contributed to the jobs I had/have. The rigor of the classes also helped shape my work ethic. I am able to work and go to school because I have a stronger foundation.

My Advice:

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. I wouldn’t be where I am if I didn’t have guidance my advisors and professors. Also, don’t give up. The first few semesters may be difficult, but you can definitely do it, and it will definitely be worth it.

Georgia tech has some of the best professors/advisors and so many great resources, so much so that I decided to come back for my second degree. The education you receive and the relationships you make change the course of your life.
