I am interested in answering questions in community ecology through experimental and observational approaches. Recently, I investigate how phylogenetic relatedness influences community assembly, ecological succession, biological invasions and the outcomes of species extinctions; in particular, reconciling the long-standing Darwin’s naturalization conundrum.
